jackleg = The term that I use for anyone that skybust, shows up to hunt just before legal, those that could not blow a call if their life depended on it, those that come onto these forums and let everyone and their brother know where the ducks are, and any other hunters that do anything that ticks me off. I try my best to be respectful of either kids or adults that I am hunting with, and jackleg is the term I use to refrain from cussing.

douchebaggery

The state of being a douchebag - committing acts that define an individual as being a douchebag, such as calling people at work, emailing moderators, scamming on fat chicks or generally just being a giant douche.

Example would be the behaviors exhibited by former member Crash and his close associates. :adoration :adoration

He is alive and well it seems over at NC Hunting and Fishing.(Still a douchebag though!) It seems like a pretty weak site with mainly teenagers. Remember Redneckhunter from here? He is over there and seems to have grown up a little.

For those of you that haven't been duck hunting very long, I knew I had better define it or Jimbob would have had way to much fun. :D

How about "crashole"?

Crashole: a person who makes every situation on an internet message board, a real life incident worthy of being a douchebag and an a$$hat. Such situations include making unwanted, threatening, and harrassing phone calls, giving out phone numbers of disliked persons to other people who fit the "douchebag" definition, sending threatening emails and private messages, and generally being a redneck piece of crap that mooches off of others while pretending to be a paying member of something that he is not.

I thought this thread was about duck hunting, boats, weather, birds? Oh well...

What's a good name for the idiots that blow dog whistles while duck hunting? It may have a place in field trials, but not while hunting.

Or, what about the same idiots that blow a mallard call at everything that moves?

"Idiots" is way to polite for them. I can think of a few choice words, but I can't use them here.

How about "I Blow You's" ? :cheerleader:

Don't hate bro, train your dog and he/she can be a real duck dog too. Besides, that little toot on the whistle doesn't bother ducks half as much as a dog running around the decoys looking for a dog biscuit. PM me and I will help you get started. :D

I know this is going to start a conflict and is getting off topic but I just can't help myself. Sorry cgDucknBuck.

Stump some people just shouldn't be allowed to own a dog. I am willing to bet that people like me and you that take the time to train there dogs and I mean really train the dogn, not just teach it how to sit, will lose less birds than those that just let there dog run free and hunt for one bird for 30 min. I'd much rather blow a few whistles and put my dog on the bird than miss the chance to shot birds that flared because my dog can't find a bird. The Hunting Retriever Clubs are all about the advancement of hunt dogs and there motto is "Conceived By Hunters For Hunters" so all those whistles you hate so much aren't just meant for field trials. As a matter of fact if those of you that talk about the whistles knew about field trials you'd know that whistles in a field trial aren't necessarily a good thing. And again I apologize to cgDucknBuck for getting off track on your post.

I believe he was referring to the guys who blow their damned whistles like they were playing the national anthem, trying to get the attention of their poorly trained dogs. Oldtimers would call them "Tyro's".

"Tyro's".

I like that one too!

Yup, I was referring to the guys that blow those damn whistles from first light right on until they go home. But then again, maybe they don't even have a dog, just a bunch of whistles????? Same with the mallard callers. I swear I think I've seen 'em trying to call down commercial jets from 30,000 feet. I know there wasn't anything with feathers nearby.

I remember that. Play low ball and then scream "high road" as if to make himself immune to what he had started. I find it funny that he only has one board he can post on because he was banned from all others. He regularly talks trash about this and the other boards that he was banned from. Scuttlebutt is that he even called one board's main sponsor, and told a bunch of lies that convinced the sponsor to drop his support for that board. Amazing how one person takes the low road so much because he won't be allowed to bully people at will, huh?
