If you use the boat ramp in Sneads Ferry at the Sea Haven / Old Ferry marina campground stop! The campground ramp is under new ownership & management and is not friendly to duck hunters. The new owner has doubled the cost of ramp fee and its manager is leaving notes on trucks saying vehicle will be towed even if you have proof you have paid. I had such a note on my truck yesterday after I came in from my hunt. I had my ticket stub to show I had paid my fee. The new manager said my truck had been put on a list and would be towed next time if I didn't put my ticket stub where he could see it in my truck in the parking lot. I had my ticket in my pocket and showed it to him, he then said he would remove my truck from his list. ( btw this new policy is not posted to make you aware of this rule, just a price increase at the ramp) Not to worry as I won't use this ramp anymore, there is a public landing with plenty of parking and 2 ramps just a little further down river. No birds on New River at this time , perhaps later in the season.

Thanks for the info. Things a little slow still up my way, too...but better than they were.
