I know this is a BBQ review forum and although everyone already is aware of King's in Kinston, I'll say the following: Grabbed a sandwich and fries at lunch on Saturday and it was just ok. Bib's Downtown

Alright I'm going to step out from the normal NC BBQ argument and point you to a great place. Bib's http://www.bibsdowntown.com in Winston-Salem at the corner of 5th and Spring (across from public library) is the real deal. As they say its not eastern or western, its bestern. Years ago before he passed, the best place in NC was Jim Hunt's on Hwy 150 in Reeds (Davidson County) right across from Elementary School. To add to what JB said to emphasize safety, you don't have to have a boat to hunt that impoundment but if you choose to access it by boat, watch the wind forecasts.
